These are the exact same tiedown mounts and strap keepers that we include with our Fenix headlamps. They cinch tight and weigh almost nothing.  Now offered separately, for those that might already own a good headlamp and want to use it on their bike helmet.
  • Fits any headlamp to any vented bike helmet
  • Tiedown uses cinching Shock Cord for a quick, secure attachment
  • Tiedown loops around one side headband slot and then secures to the other side slot via a metal clip
  • Silicone grippers keep everything in place and Lock the Cord tight
  • Tiedown only (No Strap Keepers) is a good option if mounting a headlamp without the headband strap or if the strap fits easily over the helmet and won't slip off the top of the helmet when tightened
  • Strap Keepers come in two different widths and are very useful for securing the headband strap to the helmet
  • Superlight: 12 grams
  • Risk-Free Purchase: if you're not satisfied, we'll send you a return label and exchange it for free!

Instructions for Mounting to Helmet:

  1. Find a surface on the helmet above the ear for the Dual Lock tape bases
  2. Peel and stick Dual Lock bases to the helmet on those spots
  3. Snap on the Strap Keepers onto their Dual Lock bases
  4. Push tiedown loop in thru the left-side headband strap slot of the headlamp bracket and the pull the rest of the tiedown thru the loop securing it the headlamp
  5. Find a vent in the front of the helmet or visor and thread tiedown cord down thru it and up another vent back toward the other side of the headlamp. Note: sometimes it’s more comfortable if Shock Cord routes between the helmet shell and the helmet’s foam liner
  6. Attach the metal clip to the right-side strap slot with cord end facing outward
  7. Cinch the shock cord tight using the silicone gripper
  8. Once headlamp is secure to the helmet, fully loosen headlamp strap and place the strap into the Strap Keepers and tighten if necessary
  9. Extra pair of Dual Lock bases are included if you want to move the headlamp to another helmet
